Scope and Contents This collection consists 21 postcards and fliers from concerts held at the Grande Ballroom, Detroit, Michigan between 1967 and 1968. The majority of the postcards were designed by Gary Grimshaw or Carl Lundgren, with one by Bonnie Green, and one by Donnie Dope also included. Psycholdelic in nature, the graphics are very colorful and include images of band members.The bands represented are Air Speed Inidicator, Apostles, Ashmollyan Quintet, Beacon Street Union, Blue Cheer, Born...

Scope and Contents One postcard showing a person identified as "Rex" in a dress and wig, next to them and sitting on a post is a person identified as Loren Nelson Omans. Both are posing in front of a house with trees in the background. On the verso is a canceled stamp dated "4 pm 1912 Detroit MI" and a note in pencil signed as "Love from Rex," the postcard is addressed to Mrs. J. O. Power of Addison, Mich. The collection contains 400 postcard-sized artworks, including paintings, photographs, drawings, prints, beadwork, collages, and written statements. Most artwork was created by progressive women artists in South Africa. Most works are anonymous.

In addition to the physical postcards, in series one, there is additional digital material, including descriptions of the postcards and photographs of their original order, in series two.

11 postcards and 7 stereoscopic photographs of life in Southern Africa. Topics covered include gold mining, African villages and people, agricultural laborers, politicians, and De Beers Mines in Kimberly, South Africa. Countries covered include South Africa, Rhodesia (Zimbabwe), Namibia, Tanzania, Zambia, and many unknown locations. The photographs are from approximately 1900-1910. Many of the stereoscopic photographs are dated 1901 and printed in England.
